About

I am an Emirati with a Middle Eastern and Western education, I believe and aspire to help create a sustainable film industry in the Arabian region and specifically in the UAE. While the essence of Cinema is a voyage into the imaginary I do appreciate the necessity of making valid and accurate business decisions to allow the voyage to begin. Good films are good films.

The nationality of theses film are secondary to the viewing audience as cinematic history proves; Werner Herzog “Nosferatu”, Jean-Pierre Juenet “Amelie”, Fernando Meirlles “City Of God”, Guillermo del Toro “Pan’s Labyrnith”, Vittorio De Sica “Bicycle Thieves”, Mohammed Khan “Dreams Of Hind And Gamila”, Abbas Kiarostami “The Taste of Cherry”, Deny Arcand “The Decline Of The American Empire”, Martin Scorsese “Hugo” among others.

Official culture encompasses people, traditions, history and future all approved by society. It is the task of the filmmaker to navigate and challenge these boundaries in an entertaining, thoughtful and sometimes provocative tales. I see my self as a hub for independent cinema/TV that fosters filmmakers with unique visions and aims to be seen by wider audiences. It is my goal to work with Arab and Arabian filmmakers to elevate their work to the international audience. At the same time I will encourage and actively partner with major US, European Independents and Studios in making films that you and we would love to watch.
